Turnover volume sector hotels and restaurants substantially down
Turnover in the sector hotels and restaurants in the second quarter of 2008 was significantly below the level of one year previously. The volume of turnover declined by 3.5 percent.
Retail turnover up 3 percent
The Dutch retail sector realised 3.1 percent more turnover in April this year than in the same month last year. Prices rose by 2 percent. The volume of sales grew by just over 1 percent.

Retail turnover down
In March 2008, retail turnover decreased by 3.4 percent relative to the same period last year. For the first time in nearly 3 years, Dutch retailers faced declining sales.
Strong turnover rise for large construction companies in 2007
The turnover of large construction companies in the Netherlands rose by just over 10 percent in 2007. In 2006 this increase was still only 3 percent.
Modest turnover growth for retail trade
In January 2008, retail trade turnover grew by 3.3 percent relative to one year previously. The increase is equally attributable to higher prices and the larger turnover volume.
