Inflation rate stable
Dutch inflation remained unchanged in April. The consumer price index shows that, just as in March, consumer prices were on average 1.8 percent higher than twelve months ago.
Lower natural gas consumption keeps down consumption growth
Dutch households spent 0.6 percent more on goods and services in the first month of this year than in January 2006. They spent 0.6 percent less on goods.
Consumer confidence marginally higher
December’s consumer confidence index was marginally up on the previous month and is now, after a minor downturn in November, back at the level of September and October.
Consumers remain positive
Consumer confidence in October 2006 did not change compared to September.
Consumer confidence continues to rise
Dutch consumer confidence in September 2006 improved relative to August. Opinions held by Dutch consumers on the economic climate as well as their willingness to buy improved.
Consumers slightly more positive
Dutch consumer confidence increased slightly in August compared to July. This brings confidence almost back to June’s level.
Inflation rate unchanged, rent up by 2.8 percent
The Dutch inflation rate in July 2006 was unchanged.
