Satellite Account for Culture and Media 2015

First release of a satellite account focused on culture and media, describing how culture and media contribute to the Dutch economy.

Statistics Netherlands (CBS) has compiled a new satellite account on culture and media in the Netherlands, commissioned by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science. In this satellite account, the contribution of culture and media to the Dutch economy is outlined for the year 2015. What is the contribution of culture and media to gross domestic product (GDP), employment and household consumption? In addition, which goods and services take up key positions in the culture and media sector and which industries produce them?

Since this is the first release, the current edition includes detailed definitions of culture and media, as well as a description of the process of compiling a satellite account.
