Sustainability Monitor for the Netherlands 2009
The Sustainability Monitor for the Netherlands presents a picture of the sustainability of Dutch society. It shows where the Netherlands is doing well, and where, from a sustainability point of view, there are concerns for the future. The book contains analyses of the situation in the Netherlands with respect to climate change, biodiversity, health, knowledge, ageing and social cohesion. It examines these and many other subjects with the aid of a set of sustainability indicators and detailed analyses. The book provides a good basis for the debate with policymakers and researchers about sustainable development in the Netherlands.
The publication is a joint product, compiled by Statistics Netherlands, the Netherlands Bureau for Economic Policy Analysis, the Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency, and the Netherlands Institute for Social Research.
