What is RGS?

RGS is a nationally agreed uniform coding system for financial data. It contains most of the general ledger accounts that CBS needs to compile its statistics. CBS itself makes the link between RGS and the terms used in the Production Statistics questionnaire. The procedure is as follows: you upload an RGS Bridge Statement with your data to CBS. CBS fills a large part of the Production Statistics questionnaire with these data. This method can save you time by considerably reducing the number of items to be completed manually, as you only have to fill in the missing data.
