Partial revision of the Producer Prices Index

As from January 2014, the publication of the Producer Prices Index (PPI) with base year 2010=100 is partially revised. The revision applies to the table PPI by product (Prodcom). Some methodological improvements are incorporated in the time series for the publication months until July 2012. These consist of a more accurate recalculation of the time series with base year 2005 to the time series with base year 2010. Studies have shown that the revision generally has only a small effect on the figures.
