HSMR 2014 Methodological report

Statistics Netherlands has calculated The Hospital Standardised Mortality Ratios (HSMRs) for Dutch hospitals for the period 2012-2014. This report describes the methods that were used.

Excel file ‘Classification of variables HSMR 2014’ contains the ICD9-CM and ICD10 codes of the 50 CCS groups, the ICD9-CM codes of the Severity variable, and the classification of Socio-economic status.

Excel file ‘Coefficients HSMR 2014.xls’ contains the coefficients and standard errors of the HSMR 2012-2014 model by CCS group.
