In civil law: decision by a judge that does not lead to a temporary or permanent settlement of a conflict, or final decision by a judge on a petition.
In administrative law: one-sided decision by an administrative body in a concrete individual case.
In criminal law: decision by a judge during the criminal proceedings not pronounced during the trial.
