Capacity

The capacity mentioned for the production of electricity from solar energy refers to the system capacity and not the capacity of the inverter or panels for a solar power installation. The system capacity is the minimum of the installed capacity of solar panels and the installed capacity of the inverter for a solar power installation.

When it comes to calculating the capacity for wind energy production, CBS only counts this when a wind farm actually produces a substantial amount of electricity and supplies this to the grid. In the initial period after the first electricity is supplied, tests are performed before the wind farm fully enters production. Other cooperatives such as Windstats and Windunie count the capacity as soon as the construction of the wind farm is completed, which leads to a difference between their figures and those of CBS.
