The figures used for this news release come from the Survey of ICT usage among enterprises. This survey describes the use of ICT by companies with at least one worker, in SBI sectors C-N and Q. Since 2020, this survey has included a series of questions about the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI). The survey is completed by companies with ten or more workers. They are asked whether they use specific AI technologies, for what purposes these AI technologies are used, and how the AI technologies have been obtained. Companies that say they do not use AI are also asked whether they have ever considered using such technology and, if so, what their main reason for not doing so was. For the period 2021-2024, it was possible to monitor the use of the following seven AI technologies in a consistent manner: machine learning, service robots or autonomous vehicles, robot-assisted process automation, speech recognition, image recognition, text mining and natural language generation.
