Note on the research and the population studied
The population of workers surveyed consisted of all workers whose main job in Q4 2021 was in the healthcare and well-being sector. The main job is the job in which the worker earned the most in base wages over a given period according the data on his or her wages; as such, each worker could have a maximum of one main job during this period. The sector in which a worker is employed was determined based on whether their main job was in the healthcare and well-being sector in Q4 2021.
The population consists of workers in both client-facing and non-client-facing roles and therefore includes hospital cleaners and administrative staff, for instance. The data sources did not include any information on the position or occupation of the workers concerned. Workers undergoing education were not included in the analysis.
