Younger age groups in the current population are better educated, on average, than older age groups. As new generations move into the middle and senior age groups, the population’s average level of education will rise in the years ahead. Migration also affects the population’s level of education. In the different scenarios, the population’s level of education in 2050 was estimated based on the population composition by age, gender and origin.
