Those who indicated that they have some difficulty, great difficulty or cannot perform an IADL activity were asked if they usually receive help with these activities. If people answered 'yes' to this question, they were asked whether they would like to receive more help. If they answered ‘no’, they were asked whether they would like any help.
For this news release, ‘the share of people receiving help’, ‘the share of people who would like to receive more help’ and the ‘share of people who were not yet receiving help but would like to receive it were presented for the total group aged 55 or over who reported having some difficulty or great difficulty with one or more IADL activities or who could not perform any IADL activity.
