International transport
The total of bilateral, cabotage and third-country transport by Dutch lorries.
Bilateral transport
International transport of goods by Dutch hauliers with either the place of loading in the Netherlands and the place of unloading abroad, or the place of loading abroad and the place of unloading in the Netherlands (e.g. a Dutch lorry being loaded in Germany and being unloaded in the Netherlands).
Cabotage transport
Road haulage in a different country than the country of registration, executed by a road vehicle which is registered in the reporting country.
Cabotage transport by Dutch vehicles involves loading and unloading in one other, i.e. the country of loading is the same as the country of unloading (e.g. a Dutch lorry being loaded and unloaded in Germany).
Third-country transport
International transport between two locations in different countries, carried out by a vehicle registered in a third country.
Third country transport by Dutch hauliers involves both loading and unloading taking place abroad, with each location in a different country (e.g. a Dutch lorry being loaded in Germany and being unloaded in Belgium).
