Opinions on economic climate improves slightly, willingness to buy unchanged
The component indicator on Economic climate has improved slightly: from -3 in April to -2 in May. In May, consumers are slightly less positive about the economic climate in the past twelve months while their outlook for the coming twelve months is slightly less negative.
Consumers’ willingness to buy remains at -3. Consumers have not changed their opinions about their financial situation but do find the time slightly more favourable to make large purchases.
