Emission figures on greenhouse gases over 2018 published in May 2019 are an initial and provisional estimate. In September 2019, a new provisional estimate will be made which is more detailed and based on more source information. Figures over 2018 including revisions over 1990-2017 will become definitive in the spring of 2020. The series 1990-2018 has been calculated in accordance with the guidelines imposed as part of the Kyoto Protocol by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC; 2006 Guidelines).
