Enterprises

This news release focuses on enterprises with direct investments abroad. Service-providing businesses are excluded as they do not or hardly trade in commodities. Included are only the branches of industry agriculture/forestry/fisheries, quarrying and mining, manufacturing, energy supply, water supply and waste treatment, construction and trade.

The news release refers to the 30 countries in which enterprises have invested the most in 2014 in terms of number of enterprises. The percentage presented (53 percent) is the country average. Enterprises may have investments and trade relationships with several countries in this respect.
