Note that in graphs 1 and 2 in this news release, steel is defined by reference to the Harmonized Tariff Schedule CN 6-digit subheadings as appeared on the list of the proposed US import tariffs. These tariffs have been postponed until further notice. The tariffs would apply to the following CN codes: 720610 through 721650, 721699 through 730110, 730210, 730240 through 730290 and 730410 through 730690. CN stands for Combined Nomenclature. This includes the goods classifications as have been prescribed by the European Union for statistics on international trade in goods.
