International road haulage to and from the Netherlands
International road haulage to and from the Netherlands refers to international road transport by Dutch hauliers with either the place of loading in the Netherlands and the place of unloading abroad, or the place of loading abroad and the place of unloading in the Netherlands (International transport to/from the Netherlands).
Other international road transport by Dutch hauliers involves both loading and unloading taking place abroad.
A distinction is made between two types of transport to and from third countries: one with loading and unloading each in a different country; for example, goods are loaded in Germany and unloaded in Italy; the other is international cabotage transport, in which the places of loading and unloading are the same. For example, goods loaded in Belgium are also destined for Belgium.
