Turnover dairy farming sector

Estimated total turnover by dairy farmers based on VAT declarations. The quarterly figures in this news release have not been adjusted for seasonal effects. Turnover which has not been adjusted for seasonal effects increased in Q2 2017 (for example due to surcharges received from dairy organisations). This pattern of seasonal influences may not be exactly the same every year; deviations from the standard pattern remain visible in the figures.

In addition to milk production revenues, total turnover also includes other revenues and such as revenues from and the sale and breeding of (bovine) cattle stock, sales of roughage, etc.
