Transit flows

Transit trade in this article refers to re-exports (Dutch property) as well as quasi-transit trade (foreign property). Re-exports are included in the Dutch figures on CBS’ StatLine database. Quasi-transit trade figures are not available on StatLine, but are published by Eurostat.

Export of Dutch goods does not only concern production and exports in the Netherlands, but may also involve significant industrial processing of foreign goods.
