Diseases of the circulatory system

Diseases of the circulatory system (ICD10 codes: I00-I99) is the collective term for cardiovascular diseases (heart diseases and diseases of the arteries, arterioles and capilaries). These include myocardial infarction (heart attack), heart failure, vascular constriction and aneurysm of the aorta. Three of the top ten causes of death are related to this:
• Heart attack (acute myocardial infarction, ICD-10 codes: I21-I22)
• Congestive heart failure (ICD10 code: I50)
• Stroke (ICD-10 code: I60-I69)
