The countries which have been designated least developed countries (LDCs) by the United Nations as being the most underdeveloped nations worldwide. These are Afghanistan, Angola, Bangladesh, Benin, Bhutan, Burma, Burundi, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Central African Republic, Comoros, Congo (Democratic Republic), Djibouti, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gambia, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Haiti, Yemen, Kiribati, Laos, Lesotho, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Mozambique, Nepal, Niger, Uganda, East Timor, Rwanda, Solomon Islands, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Sudan, Somalia, Tanzania, Togo, Chad, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, Zambia, South Sudan.
