In compliance with new European guidelines, Statistics Netherlands is publishing new statistics on the AOW pension entitlement. These are compiled in a similar way to the actuarially determined entitlement to the supplementary pension as determined by Dutch pension funds. By 2017, all EU members will need to provide a complete review of all pension entitlements over 2015 including similar liabilities for employers and for the national government in order to achieve a comparable overview within the EU.
