Data on disabled persons are based the Labour Force Survey (EBB). In this survey, 15 to 65-year-olds are asked whether they suffer from chronic diseases, disorders or disabilities. Those who answer this question affirmatively are subsequently invited to specify their disorder and declare whether the chronic disorder(s) they suffer from is/are restricting their capacity to work or reducing their chances to find paid jobs. Respondents who answer ‘yes’ are defined as disabled. Back to article
