Robust growth exports in September

According to Statistics Netherlands, the volume of exports of goods was 6.2 percent up in September 2014 from September 2013. In the preceding month, exports grew by more than 1 percent. Higher exports of Dutch products and higher re-exports contributed to the growth. Dutch companies exported more transport vehicles, machinery and equipment than twelve months previously. The volume of imported goods was 4.4 percent up in September from twelve months previously. In August, imports grew by more than 2 percent.

In September, Dutch companies exported considerably more transport vehicles, machinery and equipment than twelve months previously. Exports of chemical products were also substantially higher, but exports of petroleum derivatives were below the level of the same month last year. Exports of Dutch products and re-exports, i.e. exports of previously imported products, increased.

Circumstances for Dutch exports improved in November

According to Statistics Netherlands’ Exports Radar, circumstances for Dutch exports were more favourable in November than in October, mainly because manufacturing industry in Germany recorded higher production figures. By means of six indicators, the Exports Radar shows, whether circumstances for Dutch exports have become more or less favourable.
