Long-term care in kind for which a personal contribution has to be paid
Long-term care in kind refers to care which requires a personal contribution paid by the care recipient. A personal contribution is due for several types of care provided at the recipient’s own home, e.g. household help, personal care, nursing care and - since mid-2010 - counselling. To improve comparability, counselling is not included in the survey. For care provided in institutions, a personal contribution is due from the day the care is provided under the AWBZ. Back to article
