ADHD
The health survey also asks participants questions about hyperactivity or 'Attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder'(ADHD).After the introductory question: 'Can you tell us to what extent the following symptoms apply to your child?', the following 3 questions will be asked:
1. Exhibits restless behaviour, is not able to sit still.
2. Is constantly fiddling and fidgeting.
3. Can only concentrate on a certain activity for a short period of time.
Respondents can choose one of the following answers: 'not applicable', 'somewhat (or sometimes) applicable' and 'obviously applicable'. If parents or guardians answer 'obviously applicable' to all three questions, the child is assumed to exhibit ADHD symptoms.
