Access to the internet

Data are based on the survey ‘ICT use by households and individuals’, conducted annually since 2005 by Statistics Netherlands among 12 to 74-year-olds. Since 2012, persons aged 75 years and older are also interviewed. The tablet computer was added to the questionnaire in 2013.

In this article, internet users are defined as persons who have indicated that the household they belong to has access to the internet. The percentages deviate somewhat from those presented in StatLine as data referring to over-75s are not included in the StatLine database.
