These include anti-depressants prescribed to residents of the Netherlands and which are covered by the mandatory basic health care insurance. They do not include medication administered to patients in hospitals and residents of nursing homes, but do include medication prescribed to residents in care homes. The data on these drugs are taken from the registration Health Care Insurance Board in the Netherlands (CVZ). This registration was set up in 2006 and is used for risk equalisation, compensating care insurers for their patient populations.
