Internet users

The data are based upon the survey ‘ICT use by households and persons’ conducted annually by Statistics Netherlands since 2005 among 12 to 75-year-olds. In 2012, over-75s were included in the survey for the first time.
In this article, internet users are defined as persons indicating they use the internet at least occasionally. The percentages presented in the first two graphs are based on that definition and vary marginally from StatLine. The StatLine data are based on persons who have used the internet in the three months prior to the survey and do not include figures on internet use in the over-75 population.
