Manufacturing prices marginally down
Output prices of Dutch manufacturing industry were 0.9 percent lower in March 2013 than in March 2012. In the previous three years, factory gate prices were higher than one year previously.
Factory gate prices
With 9.5 percent, prices of petroleum derivatives dropped most notably. Prices of basic metal products were also considerably down on one year previously (3.5 percent). Food, drinks and tobacco, on the other hand, were over 4 percent more expensive than in March 2012.
Index factory gate prices
Output prices in manufacturing industry dropped by 0.9 percent in March compared to February. The price drop on the foreign market equalled the one on the domestic market.
