Despite the fact that they start living together at a younger age, children of divorced parents less often marry and if they marry, they are on average older.

Higher educated women start living together later in life

Higher educated women are on average slightly older when they start living together for the first time. The average age for lower educated women was 22.2 years; the average age for women educated at secondary and higher level is 23.0 and 23.5 years respectively. The relation between education level and age at which they start living together is less obvious in men.
