Manufacturing prices marginally higher
Output prices of Dutch manufacturing industry were 0.4 percent higher in January 2013 than in January 2012. The price increase was smaller than in December, when manufacturing prices were 2.0 percent up from twelve months previously.
Factory gate prices
Prices in food, drinks and tobacco shops were more than 5 percent higher in January than one year previously, but basic metal products, petroleum derivates and products manufactured by the paper and graphical industry were cheaper than in January 2012. In the preceding months, prices of petroleum derivates had been markedly higher than one year previously.
Index factory gate prices
Output prices in manufacturing industry rose by 0.4 percent in January 2013 compared to December 2012. With 0.6 percent, the price increase on the foreign market exceeded the price increase on the domestic market (0.2 percent).
