Average remuneration gap between male and female employees

The data used for this survey are based on the Labour force survey plus data from the Income survey. The latter is predominantly based on tax data. The income gap between male and female employees is based on the gross annual income from labour. The international comparison is made on the basis of figures provided by Eurostat. Eurostat states that the gender income gap is due to differences in the gross hourly pay rate of men and women.
