Terms of trade deteriorate again
Dutch terms of trade of imported and exported goods deteriorated in November 2012 compared to November 2011. Prices of exported goods were 1.4 percent higher, prices of imported goods rose by 2.4 percent. November is the tenth month in a row, in which terms of trade deteriorated relative to one year previously. The deterioration was more substantial than in October.
Higher prices for food products and petroleum derivatives contributed most to the increase in export prices. Import prices of these products and import prices of chemical products and crude oil were also higher than one year previously.
