Private sector investments down

In October 2012, the volume of private sector investments in tangible fixed assets was more than 4 percent down from October 2011. In September, private sector investments were 10 percent lower than one year previously.

Private sector investments were lower largely because of differences in the working day pattern. October 2012 had two working days more than October 2011, whereas September 2012 had two working days less than September 2011.

The Investment Radar monitors six indicators which show whether circumstances for Dutch private sector investment have become more or less favourable and which factors played a crucial part in these developments. According to December’s Investment Radar, the investment climate improved.
