Income and life expectancy

Persons with these (annual) incomes are divided into five income categories according to the quintile boundaries as used in the Social Statistical Database (SSB). For life expectancy broken down by income, the income data over 2010 from the SSB are linked to mortality data over 2011.
For life expectancy in good health broken down by income, data are used from the health survey 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011. The income in that particular year is linked to each respondent in the health survey in these years. As income data over 2011 were not available at the time the survey was conducted, the health survey respondents were linked to income data over 2010.
