Consumer confidence drops
The mood among Dutch consumers deteriorated in October. consumer confidence dropped 3 points to -32. The consumer confidence indicator averaged -8 over the last twenty years.

Consumer confidence dropped, because the component indicator willingness to buy fell 4 points to -24. Consumers thought the time was more unfavourable to buy expensive items, like furniture, washing machines or TV sets. And they were also somewhat more negative about their own financial situation.
The component indicator economic climate remained stabel at -44.
