Position on the labour market
A person’s position on the labour market is based on their main source of income. Data on labour market position and changes in the labour market position are available through the Social Statistical Database (SSB). The following changes in the labour market position are distinguished:
• Employed: persons, whose main source of income is ‘work’.
• Unemployed: persons, whose main source of income is ‘an unemployment benefit’.
• Disabled: persons, whose main source of income is ‘a disability benefit’ .
• Retired: persons, whose main source of income is ‘pension’.
The data presented in this article refer to people aged 20 years and older.
