Terms of trade improved
Dutch terms of trade of imported and exported goods improved in November 2011 compared to November 2010. Prices of exported goods were 3.7 percent higher, prices of imported goods rose by 2.7 percent. In the four preceding months, terms of trade had deteriorated compared to twelve months previously.
Higher prices for natural gas and petroleum derivatives contributed most to the increase in export prices. Import prices of these products and import prices for crude oil were also far beyond the level of one year previously.
