Selling prices in manufacturing industry nearly 8 percent up
Selling prices in the Dutch manufacturing industry were nearly 8 percent higher in November 2011 than in November 2010. The price increase was in the same order of magnitude as in October.
Across the board, manufacturers charged more for their products. With 25 percent, prices of petroleum products increased most. Selling prices in the chemical industry also rose substantially (10 percent).
Compared to October 2011, prices increased by 0.3 percent in November 2011. Prices on the foreign market rose by 0.4 percent, whereas prices on the domestic increased only marginally.
