The Arab League is an organisation comprising 22 Arab countries and territories and was founded in 1945 to stimulate cooperation between the various member states and promote common interests. The following countries currently form part of the Arab League: Algeria, Bahrain, Comoros, Djibouti, Egypt, Palestinian Authority Territory, Iraq, Yemen, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Mauretania, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Somalia, Syria, Tunisia and the United Arab Emirates.
