Providers of business services anticipate turnover increase

In July, business services providers anticipating turnover to grow during the next three months outnumbered those anticipating turnover to decline. The index stood at + 7 in July versus – 5 in June. In June and July, the number of business services providers expecting a downturn is usually higher than in the rest of the year, possibly due to seasonal variation.

Providers of business services were less pessimistic about future employment in their sector than in June, but the number of business services providers expecting employment to fall was still higher than those anticipating staff expansion.

Just like in the two preceding months, the number of business services providers expecting higher selling prices was about the same as those expecting prices to drop. Providers of business services were slightly less optimistic about the general economic climate in July than in June.

Turnover in the sector business services may be affected by seasonal variation. These effects have not been taken into account.
