Sustained growth private sector investments
In February 2011, the private sector invested 6 percent more in tangible fixed assets than in February 2010. The increase was 1 percentage point up on January. The growth could partly be attributed to higher investments in the construction sector. Just as in January, growth was largely due to the weather conditions. In the first two months of 2010, output in the construction sector was slowed down by the harsh weather conditions, but this was hardly the case at the beginning of 2011.
