Dutch consumers less willing to buy
The mood among Dutch consumers deteriorated somewhat in April. The consumer confidence index dropped by 2 points to -10, because consumers were less willing to buy. The confidence had also declined marginally in March.

Consumers’ willingness to buy decreased further in April. Consumers thought the time to buy expensive items was obviously less favourable than in the preceding month. They were also a bit more negative about their own financial situation in the past 12 months. Their opinions on their own financial situation in the next 12 months remained stable.
Consumers were slightly less confident about the economic situation in April than in March. Opinions on the economic situation in the past 12 months as well as in the next 12 months were somewhat more negative.
