Second estimate for third quarter 2010: economic growth 1.9 percent
Dutch economic growth in the third quarter of 2010 was 1.9 percent compared with the third quarter of 2009. This second estimate of economic growth is 0.1 of a percent point higher than in the first estimate published on 12 November. On the production side of the economy, the increase in manufacturing and business services in particular were larger than in the first estimate. The estimate for construction industry on the other hand was adjusted downwards. On the expenditure side, the trade surplus for goods and services was slightly higher, while the decrease in investment rose slightly.
Quarter-on-quarter change 0.0 percent
After correction for working day and seasonal effects, the Dutch economy did not grow at all in the third quarter compared with the second quarter (0.0 percent). This quarter-on-quarter change was 0.1 of a percent point higher than in the first estimate.
