Unemployment hardly lower

In November 2010, seasonally adjusted unemployment in the Netherlands stood at 409 thousand, a decline by 1 thousand relative to October. Unemployment has dropped for the ninth month running.

In November 2010, unemployment was down by 14 thousand on November 2009. Unemployment among young people fell by 18 thousand and also in the age category 25-44 unemployment dropped. On the other hand, unemployment rose in the age category 45-64.

In November 5.2 percent of the total Dutch labour force was unemployed. With 10.0 percent, the unemployment rate was highest in the age category 15-24.
