Producer confidence manufacturing industry hardly changed
Producer confidence hardly changed in November. The indicator stood at 0.3 versus 0.5 in October. Producer confidence has varied around zero for more than six months now.
Producer confidence consists of three component indicators: expected output in the next three months, producers’ opinions on stocks of finished products and their opinions on their order books.
Expectations on future output hardly changed in November. Just like in October, manufacturers expecting output to decrease were outnumbered by those expecting an increase. Manufacturers’ opinions on their stocks of finished products and their order positions also remained more or less the same.
Manufacturers’ expectations on future employment did not change much either. The number of manufacturers expecting employment in their branch to rise was somewhat smaller than those anticipating an employment reduction.
