Debts

An amount claimed back on the basis of the Act on Work and Income Support (WWB), the Act on Investing in Young People (WIJ), the Decree on Social Security Provisions for Self-employed (Bbz), the Act on Income Provisions for Older and Partially Disabled Unemployed Employees (IOAW), the Act on Income Provisions for Older and Partially Disabled Former Self-employed (IOAZ) and the Act on Work and Income Artists (WWIK).

Instances are payments made in advance or payments, which later appear to have been too high and are subsequently claimed back by municipal authorities. 

Debts as a result of negligence

Debts as a result of failing to comply with the obligation to provide complete, accurate and relevant information. The person involved is blamed for being negligent.

Money loan

Debt as a result of a loan provided by municipalities to people entitled to social security benefits.

Recoupment procedures

Debt by an individual, because a duty of maintenance for his or her former partner and/or child applies. Also included are debts arising from legacies, gifts and standing sureties. 

Fine/Reduction

Debt as a result of imposing a fine or reduction. Cases, in which municipal authorities have separately registered a fine or reduction in the past in relation to another debt. Currently, municipalities are able to balance the amount of the fine or reduction with the current debt.
